How to restore the quick launch and start menu in Windows 7 - 18/01/2009 11:30:34

Windows 7 replaces the start menu and quick launch with a horrible mash of the two.

To restore it to the XP / Vista behavor you should.
Right click the task bar and go to properties.
Set the Taskbar Buttons selection box to "Never Combine".
Un-pin all the icons.

Then Right click again and go to Toolbars --> New Toolbar
Paste in %AppData%\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch to the Folder box.

Click Select Folder.
Right click on the Quick Launch in the task bar and un-tick "Show Text" then right click again and un-tick Show Title.

Move the bar to the left (or wherever you want the quick launch icons) and go WOO !!! finally its better again :)
