Car-less yet again - 06/03/2009 15:27:08

A few weeks have passed since I crashed my car. About 2 weeks ago shortly after getting my car back a warning light came on.
I called the insurance repair company who said it would be a 20 minute job to replace the sensor.

They told me to pop in on Tuesday, I turned up on Tuesday and was told that the fitter was on holiday and to come back on Thursday.
I went back there yesterday and sat around for about 45 minutes until they came back and said "Sorry, it needs to go off to VW".
So I am now without my car again, this time I do not even have a loaner / courtesy car.

YAY.
In other news, business has been a bit quiet recently, so much so that I have been delivering leaflets again! (Something I have not done since I first started years ago).
Two of my competitors have also been pestering me about domain names that I own which are similar to their business names or other domain names.
One was clear-cut.. I owned the .com for their .co.uk company name. For example they owned panaco-it.co.uk and I owned panaco-it.com, amusingly it never got any visits.
Anyhow, they contacted me about "passing off" and trade mark etc.. so fine, they are welcome to it and the domain has been handed over. I owned it / registered it years ago to demonstrate that a computer company should know what they are doing and should have registered both the domains in the first place.

The next one was another local company who owned something similar to bramleycomputers.co.co.uk (a local village followed by what they do) and I had bramleycomputers.com! However I feel that I have no reason to hand this domain over. Let the fun commence.

The cats are win, bring on summer and more food :) and holiday!

Tom
